On April 27, 2015, I wrote a blog, “EPA Should Enforce Its Own RVP and Pump Label Regulations on E15.” Since then, there have been some developments on this topic, chiefly regarding consumer confusion and fears over misfueling.

The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) wrote a letter to EPA dated May 5, 2015 requesting an Enforcement Alert. AMA is concerned about potential misfueling and calls for more thorough safeguards. AMA believes that the Agency needs to enforce its own Reid Vapor Pressure (RVP) and pump label standards.

In addition, Congressman Sensenbrenner wrote a letter to EPA dated May 12, 2015 requesting a response to several questions about E15 RVP and pump labels by June 1.
